Avril Lavigne Strikes A Pose For Her Fashion Label Abbey Dawn
Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Canadian pop singer Avril Lavigne has been pictured posing for her new clothing range. The 24-year-old fashionista, who produced the Abbey Dawn clothing range, stepped out in fishnet tights, a beehive hairstyle and pink high heels in L.A. on Wednesday.
In another shot she wore a pair of yellow jeans, Dr.Martins and a beanie hat, while posing on top of a rooftop edge. The label is named after her childhood nickname, according to Hello magazine.
Lavigne reportedly takes personal interest in all aspects of her fashion label's development and is currently preparing for the launch of her new juniors clothing line.
Some fashion critics have already labeled Avril's youthful pink look as a disaster. Currently available online, it will soon be available in the U.S. stocked in Kohls stores.
Abbey Dawn is a clothing line produced by Kohl's and was launched in the U.S. in Alhambra, California in July 2008. The line is described by Kohl's as a "juniors lifestyle brand," and includes apparel and jewelry with skull and zebra patterns similar to the artwork on Lavigne's album The Best Damn Thing.
Lavigne wore some of the clothes in her line at various concerts before the launch, and it is also featured on the internet game Stardoll where figures can be dressed up as Avril Lavigne.
